back

Stumbling Blocks. When artistic expression meets a wall, where there is comfort reverting back to known artistic works, and the difficulty of breaking through into your creative beltway, go for a walk. Inspiration of vision comes by examining and appreciating random shapes and forms, and, suddenly, here are old, uprooted, cement posts laying by the roadway. The metaphor is rich and the investigation quick and moving, in that we see quickly, and move along, the camera is a notebook recording the sculptural forms while the mind revels in the randomness of the found series and possible future constructions. Nothing is lost in the fullness of the moment. We are aware of the shortness of breath, the sacred in the find, and the beauty of the perception. The roadway reminds us of our life cycle, the past and the future, going each way. The continuum is no less, time is a line. In stumbling over an inability to create something new, we find it suddenly before us. If we are ready, then it becomes ours, the idea is another rung of the ladder, and we climb to a higher plane of our being.
